For 25 years, Gord Marsh has been on the front lines as a paramedic, educator, and leadership mentor, navigating high-pressure emergencies and guiding the next generation of first responders. Whether in urban chaos or rural landscapes, he’s seen it all—managing complex, multi- patient situations with skill and precision.
But Gord’s impact goes far beyond emergency calls. As Acting Commander for Medavie Elgin EMS and Acting Operations Supervisor for Lambton EMS, he’s led teams through some of the most challenging moments of their careers. He’s also been a trusted mentor, helping first responders build the confidence and resilience needed to thrive in this demanding profession.
His passion for education and peer support has made him a respected instructor at Lambton College, where he’s trained countless paramedics. He’s also contributed to peer support and education committees, reinforcing his commitment to the mental well-being and professional growth of first responders.
Gord’s dedication to service doesn’t stop when the shift ends. He’s spent years volunteering with Brigden Fair Emergency Services, the Ontario Provincial Police, and St. John Ambulance, always ready to lend his expertise where it’s needed most. Since 1998, he’s also played an active role in the Forest Agricultural Society and Fair Board, now serving as Executive Director of Fair Operations—a role that lets him merge leadership with community service.
When he’s not working, teaching, or volunteering, you’ll likely find him around horses—especially his two beloved Clydesdales.
At HeroBrain, Gord brings his deep field experience, leadership, and passion for resilience to help implement innovative mental performance solutions for first responders. His mission? To ensure that those who serve others also have the tools to train their minds, recover from stress, and stay strong—both on and off the job.
