Detective Staff Sergeant David Matheson has had a distinguished career with the Ontario Provincial Police, where he has served since 2001. He currently holds a leadership role in the Investigation and Enforcement Bureau, focusing on game protection and anti-money laundering within Ontario’s gaming industry. His expertise and dedication have earned him multiple awards and commendations.
In addition to his policing career, Dave Matheson is the President and Co-Founder of the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to donating life-saving defibrillators to public buildings in honor of fallen law enforcement, fire, EMS, and military members. The fund, established in memory of his colleague Provincial Constable Dave Mounsey, has donated over 200 defibrillators, six of which have been used to save lives. Outside of his professional commitments, Dave enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and is a supporter of neurofeedback.
Dave has integrated neurofeedback into his personal and work life by using it to enhance his cognitive performance and stress management. This has not only improved his decision- making abilities but also his overall well-being, allowing him to lead a healthier lifestyle and become an effective team leader.
